Happy New Year everyone!

Being honest, this last year was a bit of a rough one for me and my family.... not the whole year but it sure seemed like an emotional roller coaster. Don't get me wrong, the year had plenty of great moments that I am so thankful for!

I'm very excited to begin a fresh start on the new year. I feel like 2015 has big things in store! So stay tuned :)

Thanks so much for reading and sticking by me through this last year.

Hope you all have a safe and fun New Years!

Snow Day

Get the look:
Knit Sweater // Scarf // Leggings // Puffy Jacket // Boots (old, new version here) // Gloves (loving this color!) // Beanie

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!

On Christmas night, we flew out to Bend, OR for a nice little snowy getaway with some family at Sun River Resort. Its been such great vacay.... sitting around the lodge by the giant fireplaces, sipping snugglers (hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps), walking to the village in the snow.... its just awesome!

The other great part about being in the mountains is bundling up in fun cold weather clothes. Like these killer boots from Sorel..... They are so cute and really comfy with plenty of traction when walking around town in the snow. I mean, come on, how much cuter can a water-proof boot be!?

Guys, New Years is only a few days away... Are you ready? What are you guys planning? I would love to hear your plans or traditions so leave your comments below.

The hubby and I will be attending a black tie wedding for NYE.... I'm super excited to get all fancied up for the evening. I decided to rent a dress from Rent the Runway, which is such an awesome site! Have any of you tried this site? Its perfect for an occasion like this, where I need a formal dress just for one night but don't want to buy one for hundreds of dollars..... enter Rent the Runway! :)

Oxfords & Oxblood

Tuesday, December 23, 2014

Get the look:
Oxblood Sweater (similar here) // LBD (love this one) // Black & White Oxfords (loving these just as much, if not more!)

Oxblood and Oxfords.....

2 major fall trends that I'm obsessing over!

Every time I've been out online shopping... lets be real, I'm a big online shopper, or at least browser. Then I head to the store, once I find something that interests me online, to touch, feel, try on, buy, etc..... I seem to gravitate towards everything Oxblood or Maroon. I just can't seem to get enough of it, pants, sweaters, shoes, scarfs... you name it, I probably want it in oxblood. So this over sized cozy sweater was a must for me this year.

And these shoes..... swoon!

I just love the whole black and white thing.... well just black and white in general! Those 2 colors make a large amount of my closet... #truth. And then there's the whole Oxford style, love. I love wearing them with a simple rest of your look.... think jeans and a tee with these puppies as your statement piece. Throw in a structure bag and your set!

TomBoy Chic

Friday, December 12, 2014

Get the look:
Leather Jacket //  Pants // Beanie // Boots

Happy friday loves!

Ok, lets talk about this look.... this jacket is to die! Every girl needs a great leather jacket hang in in their closet and this one is a serious score at under $100. The leather is so soft and the cut is feminine yet edgy. It also has a bit of padding in the shoulders (hello 80's!) which I am loving!

I paired my stunner of a jacket with high waisted black skinnies and a simple white tee. Throw in some gorg boots (remember these bad boys!?) and a fun beanie to complete this tomboy chic look.

And on a side note, how awesome is the VW bus!? The hubby and I bought it several years ago and finally have it up and running. It's so fun to take out for a drive along the coast and head down to the beach for the day and camp out.

We have been talking about painting it but can't decide what color.... What do you guys think? I would to hear from your suggestions. :)

Road Trip Casual

Tuesday, December 9, 2014

Get the look:
Flannel (old but similar here) // Tee (similar here and here) // Birks

Hey y'all!!

Oh man, has life been crazy these past few months.... but making it thru the craziness and back to the blog!

This look is one from when the hubby and I road tripped it up to Paso for a friends wedding. We took the coast route, which was so fun, stopping along the way to get some incredible photos. Its seriously so gorgeous up there!

Anyways, I don't know about you guys, but when I'm on a road trip, I want to be comfy while sitting in the car for hours but I also don't want to be in frumpy old sweats cause we like to stop and explore along the way. So comfy but "presentable in public" is a must for me. Enter this look.... the most comfy sandals ever, (you guys know how I love my birks!), oversized tee, and a flannel of course...ya know, in case it gets chilly.

Done and Done!
