Gypsy, Part 1

Tuesday, April 7, 2015

The countdown to Coachella has officially started. And that means festival fashion is out in full force! Now I don't go to Coachella.... I'm much more of a stagecoach kinda girl!.... but that's not to say I don't love love love the fashion that surrounds the infamous music festival.

Give me some crochet, fringe and boho and oh man, I am in my element. I feel as free as a bird (see what I did there!? easy cheesy, i know).

I can't seem to pry myself off pinterest and other fellow bloggers pages this time of year, looking at all the major inspiration that people come up with. Its incredible and I get so inspired myself..... not so good for my wallet, but oh well! ;) My husband really starts to question me when packages are getting delivered on the daily but hazard of the trade right!? When you're married to a (self admitted) fashion junkie, shit happens... sorry babe! I get inspired, so I shop.... then that inspiration leads to another, and another, and another.... you see where this is going.

I look forward to instagram being flooded with Coachella fashion.

Anyone going?? What are you planning to wear?

Booties (sold out), but love these!

Faux Fur Vest (old)

Hope you all had a wonderful St. Paddy's day!

St. Paddy's day is a very special holiday for my husband and I... It's the anniversary of our first date! Yes, we spent our first date wearing goofy green outfits and drinking green beer with shots of whiskey on the side (we were wild back then! haha). It was such a fun night that I will never forget :)

So of course, every St.Paddy's day we have to dress up in green and go celebrate the day that changed our lives forever (so dramatic, I know!) in the best way possible. Last night marked 6 years together, woohoo!!! We kept it pretty mellow, seeing as it was a Tuesday and we both had to work today, and walked down the street to a local Irish bar/restaurant. We enjoyed a beer and some traditional Irish food. Evan got the fish and chips and I opted for the Shepard's pie, YUM!

Romp in the Fields

Wednesday, March 4, 2015

I LOVE rompers, I really do! But they don't always love me back :(

Being taller than average, I have a really hard time finding rompers that I can actually wear. Most of the time they are too short in the torso, giving me a nice wedge look... front and back, not a good look!

But then, if they do fit right thru the torso, then they are super shorty short. AND rompers tend to make legs look longer, which just make my already mile long legs extra extra long, like freakishly long.

The struggle is real guys... I shop and shop for perfect fitting rompers (cause I obvi can't quite the search!) and rarely do I leave with one in hand.

But then, along came Nordstrom.....Specifically the Savvy department, my fav! I tried on this stunner, with fingers crossed that it would fit and not make me look all crazy. Sure enough, it fit!!! And I love love love it. I love the balance of the short shorts and the long sleeves. Too much skin is not so sexy, in my opinion.

I will definitely have this piece on repeat this spring/summer..... with flats, heels, a cute belt, even my cowboy boots for stagecoach!

What are your guys thoughts on rompers? Have you found any that you love?

Overalls

Overalls // Lace top // Hat (similar here) // Booties

With all the rain here this weekend, I thought I would throw it back to when the hubby and drove out to Temecula to go wine tasting for a quick overnight adventure. The weather was so amazing. We couldn't resist a drive with the top down (we drove my cute little convertible) and the wind in our hair!

These overalls were a perfect casual day pick.... fun and comfy (if you haven't figured it out, I'm a BIG fan of comfy!). I paired it with a strapless lace top and some super cute tan booties. Topping it all off with a panama hat to shade my face from the harmful sun. No one wants a leather face, right!? Big sunnies and a hat are a must for me when out in the sun.

Mad for Plaid

Tuesday, February 17, 2015

Get the look:
Plaid Maxi // Booties (sold out but love these) // Leather Jacket // Ray-Ban Sunnies

I love a good grunge plaid outfit.... and this plaid maxi is a real winner. I guess (on me, at least) its more of a midi but oh well :) I still love it! The shorter length of the dress makes the boots more visible which is a nice change up from them being more subtle in most other looks. I threw on my fav leather jacket to complete the look, cause what is a grunge look without plaid or leather!? Check and check.

Polka Dots

Get the look:
Sweater (old,  love this one too) // Denim Cutoffs // Booties // Sunnies

Life has been CRAY- ZAY these day. I started a Pilates teacher training course 2 weeks back which is super intense! Its crazy how much I'm learning in this class which is awesome but it also very overwhelming, the amount of info we are taking in in such a short period of time. But I know it will be well worth the long hours once I'm finished and can be a certified Pilates instructor. :) Pilates has seriously changed my life... I am head over heels in LOVE with it. Do any of you take Pilates?? If you haven't, I highly suggest it! Its an amazing workout for people of all shapes, sizes, ages and GENDERS (yes, men can really benefit from it if they get past the "its a girly workout" thing!). More to come on Pilates and how its the greatest.....

Polka dots.....

I love a good black and white polka dot, especially this sweater! I picked it up at Nordstrom rack a while back and its certainly been on repeat. Its nice and long so I can wear it with leggings as well as with jeans or shorts like this look.

Hope you all are having a great week so far!
